Past
When I started my studies at the Academy of Pop Culture I only knew how to paint. Choosing one’s own projects seemed like a great way to discover my interests in the field of design. So I have tried all sorts of things. Funny how your perspective of the future can change about a dozen times in 4 years.
Present
One of my projects at the Academy was illustrating a children’s book and then I knew: I want to illustrate for children! After my internship with Studio Jan de Boer, where I designed book covers, it became clear to me that I wanted to choose the book world. After my graduation I started my own company, I currently have several assignments and during the weekends I work in a bookshop.
Future
I’m going to contact publishers to illustrate for them. Magazines, school books, picture books; it all seems great to me!
