Past
All my life I’ve been into music, something I inherited from home. I always sang and played on the piano. From my ninth I started taking violin classes, and the Frisian Youth Orchestra followed. I had the pleasure of experiencing several tours through Italy and Hungary at a young age. Accompanying artists such as Ben Cramer or Xander Buisonjé was always very special. This is how I got the urge to perform and make music. After not completing several studies and more often writing my own music it was time to go the Academy of Pop Culture after all.

Present
In recent years I have grown through the proper guidance and support of various teachers of the AoP. After playing in bands like Children of 9 and Tickets Go Past and by recording my songs with different people, I now know exactly what I want. After visiting the Ice Music Festival in Norway, I started developing my graduation performance WetterKâld. Making music at a special location: that was what I wanted to discover. I also did an internship with Liet International, the song contest for minority languages. I also sing in my minority language: Frisian, in able to express myself.

Future
My album WetterKâld will be released in September. Also I want to continue studying and develop myself in the field of entrepreneurship and developing and implementing projects. In my next study Joint Music Master the combination of disciplines is very important, as well as working internationally. I think this will help me expand my network and also to start using my minority language internationally. I am very pleased with the experiences from the Academy, but am also really looking forward to continue and develop myself.
