Melissa Nakken

Past
In the past four years, I have done different things ranging from giving workshops at a primary school, joining the editors of music platform Nltracks, photographing for and by homeless people, Minor Communication Design at the Hogeschool Utrecht and worked on a wall decoration for a speech therapy center. Very special was children’s book ‘Hoe Evie Weet Dat Opa Vergeet’  (How Evie gets that grandpa forget’s’) about Alzheimer’s that I made together with Maaike van den Akker.

Present
I write, take photographs, invent, do, think, read, wonder and am. Right now I am editor and freelance project manager for the project Art and Client of the Client Initiatives Foundation. My job is to write reviews and I also developed a concept for promoting artwork created by clients.

Future
I’m going to work as an editor at ProefMedia Publishing and as a freelancer for Groei & Bloei.
